TUK is a new multi-disciplinary professional group focusing on the adult patient who requires a tracheostomy. Tracheostomy UK was first based in East Anglia and over the last year has developed into a national group.
Tracheostomy UK comprises of clinical practitioners and educators who are influential in their work environment leading and developing the care and management of patients who require a tracheostomy.

Tracheostomy UK Committee Details
Tracheostomy UK's objectives:
- Provide a forum for all disciplines involved in the management of patients requiring a tracheostomy and/or the education of staff who deliver direct care
- Provide a professional network for the discussion and troubleshooting of clinical issues
- Promote high quality care for patients who require a tracheostomy
- Address the educational requirements of those delivering care and managing patients with a tracheostomy
- Consult and contribute to national guidelines of care and competencies
- Provide an annual conference addressing current issues within tracheostomy care and management
- Provide a network for practitioners to develop and discuss research and audit projects
